Sham Sacrifices vs. Real Sacrifices

The Sham Sacrifice
A "Sham" sacrifice (or a pseudo-sacrifice) heavily involves virtually zero actual risk. It requires deep, concrete calculation, strongly leading to an undeniably forced sequence where the material is violently won back (often with enormous interest) or where a spectacular forced checkmate directly follows.

The Real Sacrifice
